Jay Bird Park

259-201 S Main St
Iuka, MS 38852

Jay Bird Park in downtown Iuka is a charming spot to enjoy a takeout lunch from one of the nearby cafes on the old town square. This small but attractive park sits on the historic site where trains once hauled timber and agricultural products to and from Tishomingo County. Although trains no longer stop here, the rail line remains active, and Jay Bird Park is a popular spot for railroad watchers, with many capturing the passing trains on video. The park is surrounded by local landmarks, including The Front Street Snack Bar, which displays a panoramic photo of the bustling rail line in the early 1900s, and Cream and Sugar, just a short walk away. Geocachers can also find a hidden treasure at this site, making it a perfect blend of history, community, and modern-day adventure.
